You are viewing a superb reclaimed large sandstone trough / planter, which has been reclaimed from an old farmhouse close to our yard.
It is a fine piece, with the rear higher than the front, and the sides measuring 3 inches thick. Overall it measures 35½ inches wide x 26 inches deep and is 21 inches high at the rear & tapers down to 18 inches at the front. It has had a repair on the one end (as shown in the images), but otherwise it is in good condition. There is also a drain hole at one end which has been plugged.
The trough has great weathering, fantastic tooling marks and real character for a piece that is somewhere around 150+ years old. It would make a really nice feature in the garden or patio, whether it’s used as a water trough, a planter, or for herbs.
Listed price is for the Trough collected from our yard. We can also arrange delivery via pallet courier or our own transport.
This Trough, and other items can be viewed at our 3 acre reclamation yard based in Shropshire during normal working hours.
