Riverstone is Phyllite and is extremely rare – much more so than slate. SSQ, are lucky enough to own one of the finest phyllite quarries in the world – San Luis, in La Repressa, Argentina. Subjected to incredible heat and pressure over millions of years, it delivers outstanding aesthetics and durability. And that’s what makes it one of the hardest, toughest, longest-lasting roofing, cladding & flooring materials in the world.
We can supply it in one of three unique finishes, letting you tailor it to the exact look and feel of the property you’re working on.
Natural Split Wall Cladding 20mm: expertly split by hand with a traditional riven surface to both sides. The rough surface caused by splitting the rock along its natural line of cleavage is ideal for areas that require a high level of slip resistance or textural appearance.
Natural Split Flooring Calibrated 20mm: a riven surface to the top side as per the walling cladding but sawn and calibrated to the underside to enable the flooring to be easily fixed down.
Brushed Antique Flooring Calibrated 20mm: a smooth, matt finish, retaining the properties of the natural riven finish. Brushing softens the texture on the hand split riven surface. Sawn and calibrated to the underside to enable the flooring to be easily fixed down.

As can be seen in the photos we have a display in our warehouse showing the Riverstone flooring and cladding and it certainly looks good! Lots of samples available ready to be sent out.
We can also arrange delivery via pallet courier or our own transport.
