The Hastings is quarried in North Spain from one of the historic slate producing areas. It has quickly developed a respectable reputation as a flat, clean, consistent slate. The Hastings slate is offered in an ultra, a prime and a heavy with the first being one of the best slates within the UK market today. It’s a light grey slate with no visible pyrites. The slate offers a textured face with neatly dressed edges. Quarried from the Orense region of Northen Spain, the Cupa H5 is a non-carbonated slate formed by tectonic compression. Dark grey slate with a riven surface. W1, S1 and T1 certified, the Cupa H5 is an excellent choice for both new build and refurbishment works. Cupa are the world leader in natural slate, with 16 quarries in Spain producing 190,000 tonnes of slate per year.
